Many of the college apps are finally in! It is a great relief. Now begins the waiting game I suppose, wish me luck! I by no means get to take it easy however, I'll stay quite busy with my five AP classes. Also, the plan was to start playing more with my jazz/funk trio once the initial applications were done, so stay tuned for concert dates and new recordings!

Music allows me to manifest the ideas and emotions that I cannot express in words. After playing and producing music for over 7 years, music has become another part of me. I perceive music as more than an external auditory stimulus. Each individual note, melody, or phrase works as a sort of internal gravity to keep me centered and grounded.

But enough with the philosophy. I am in the process of forming a new trio and we should have some recordings fairly soon, which I will post here. Until then, check out some of my older productions.

I design things.

Design seems to give me some creative offset to this technical coding I seem to have an obsession with. I always use a Mac, of course, loaded with Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, and Coda. XHTML, CSS, and Javascript are my weapon of choice when it comes to web design. If you need any web or graphic design work contact me for an inquiry. I'm Jon Gacnik, a 17 year-old musician and designer. JMGCreations is my online portfolio where all the important work goes. Put simply, creativity is my life. Apparently it would take 4.2 planet earths to sustain all humans if they lived like I do, but I still consider myself an environmentalist. I'm a liberal democrat and Obama is the shiznit.
